A reduction of the Whitecarr herd from the Cowell family, Treales, Preston, peaked at 4000gns for a freshly calved Stantons Adorable heifer.
The heifer, which is bred from eight generations of Ex or VG cows from the Nanette family sold to David Coulthurst of the Edenfield herd, Goosnargh.
Mr Coulthurst also another Adorable female for 3000gs and bought a further 10 of the top young cows and heifers.
David Wannop of Wannop Farms, at Morecambe was in contention for some of the best heifers and gave 2950gs for a Peak Altaindigo daughter.
Volume buyers were Phil McDowell from Market Drayton who purchased 25 head, while CG and KD Briggs Ltd bought 20 head to take back to their herd near Taunton.
More than 50% of the cattle sold for in excess of 2000gns.
