Some 508 lots on offer at CCM Skipton’s quarterly machinery, vehicles, agricultural equipment and Agri-Trader fixture saw multiple four-figure prices and a solid 92.4% clearance rate.
A strong line-up of 21 vehicles sold to £5300 for a 2002 Land Rover Defender TD5, with others at £2900 for a 2009 Toyota Hilux, £2700 for a Honda 520 ATV and £2200 for a Transit dropside van.
Larger items of machinery, implements and grass equipment sold to £3200 for a 6m folding aerator, £2500 for a McHale 995LM wrapper, £1950 for a Malgar 900 slurry spreader and £1900 for a Belmac rotaspreader and power lid, the same for a New Holland baler. Also hitting four figures were a £1450 lighting tower and a Watson flat roller at £1200.
A good entry of 26 trailers peaked at £2700 for an Easterby bale trailer, followed at £2400 for an Ifor Williams DP120 livestock trailer, £2350 for a Marshall grain trailer, £1900 for a tri-axle 33ft bale trailer, a £1700 clipping stand, the same price for a flatbed trailer. A bailer caravan pulled in £1000.
Livestock equipment found a ready market with a consignment of 40 rubber cow mats making £810, complemented at £510 by a IBC water bowser, a 1350L bunded fuel tank at £480 and a £400 cattle crush, while diversity was again evident when a 7x14ft marquee hit £380 and a 3-tier scaffold tower climbed to £310.
Stone and timber items reached £280 for a Yorkshire stone pallet with some Indian flags at £210, 16x5ft wooden rails at £145, cast and metal feed troughs at £110, a selection of sleepers awakening interest at £100.
Smaller items saw a Quadzilla R100 quad bike suitable for children head the prices at £920, with a selection of lawn mowers reaping £200 top, plus a milk churn at £88 and a £80 sun dial.
