Fearn Rhuairidh secured the top price of £17,500 at Fearn Farm’s ‘Northern Lights’ production sale of Beef Shorthorn bulls, heifers and semen with buyers joining remotely from all over the UK and Ireland.

Pre-sale favourite and son of Dakota Of Upsall, found a new home with the Mair family at Muiresk. This March 2021 born bull sold with outstanding figures of TSI 54, SRI 57 and MI 30, being out of Fearn Henrietta Monique Ex90.

Fearn Rembrandt a maternal nephew and paternal grandson of Rhuairidh made £9800 to Bryan Hartnett, Co Limerick, Ireland, again he has some of the highest figures in the breed, TSI 55, SRI 67 and MI 32. This similarly aged bull’s pedigree features, Fearn Godfather as his sire, and the Ex90 dam, Fearn Monique.

Another Dakota son was in the money at £7000 this time to Tom Elliot from Northampton, heading south to the same home was Fearn Rassay a Dunsyre Nightrider son or £4600.

Nightrider also had a son, Fearn Ranfurly at £6600 which heads over the water to Greenmount College, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland. This April 2021 born bull is bred from Fearn Bonny VG86

Fearn Monique R1925 secured the top price female of £4000 which again sold to the same home. She is by the same sire this time out of Fearn Monique K1468.

Ali Warden of Skelfhill went to £6400 for the March 2021 born bull, Fearn Redemption. He was Fearn Elmer’s only son and is out of the Ex90 classified cow, Fearn Monique K1469.

Semen topped at £80 per straw for the home-bred bull, Fearn Kiltarlity with Fearn Godfather closely behind on £70/straw and Firefox of Upsall at £55/straw.
