Pedigree Limousins from Tom Bailey's herd from Co Meath, Eire, proved particularly popular at his timed online Red Ladies sale which saw 18 lots average in excess of €10,000 with a 100% clearance.
Topping the trade at €22,500 was Baileys Valencia, a September 2024-born heifer that boasts some pretty old genetics being sired by Wilodge Vantastic and bred from the Goldies Jackpot daughter, Baileys Norma. She sold in calf to Carrickmore Pocket Rocket for October and heads to her new home in Kildare.
Lot 13, Baileys Awesome, proved anything but unlucky when she sold for €15,000 to join a new herd in Galway. This 15-month-old maiden heifer is sired by Knock Msport and bred from Baileys Proposal which is a full sister to Carrickmore Maximus that sold for €38,000 in Roscrea 2018.
Another five heifers broke the €10,000 mark. Dearest at €14,500 was Baileys Vixen, a 26-month-old heifer by Carrickmore Pocket Rocket that sold in calf to Tomschoice Lexicon and due in October.
Just behind on €14,000, was the youngest heifer in the catalogue, Baileys Amanda, a 13-month-old daughter of Wilodge Vantastic, bred from Baileys Mya.
A €12,500 price tag was put on the September 2024-born Baileys Vanessa. She is sired by Goldies Jackpot, bred from Baileys Janet and sold in calf to Carrickmore Pocket Rocket for November.
