Prices peaked at £165 per life at Harrison and Hetherington's show and sale of gimmers and hoggs with lambs at foot, at Carlisle, on Monday.
Selling at this price was the reserve champion pen, Texels cross hoggs with Beltex cross lambs at foot from ML Fell, Harley Croft, Torpenhow.
The champion pen, selected by judge, Gerwyn Jones, Gwynedd, comprised Beltex cross gimmers with three-quarter-bred Beltex lambs from Janet Bell, Fitz Farm, Aspatria. They later sold for £121 per life.
Top price amongst the ewes and lambs was £158 per life for a black Texel hogg and Texel cross lamb from ML Fell, Harley Croft.
