Overall, 3444 rams sold to average £1056.35, up £56.96 in 2022 for 182 fewer sold when 3626 rams levelled at £999.39. Of the 4238 rams entered, 391 were not forward, which, combined with the 403 heads that failed to find new homes, produced a 90.49% clearance rate of the numbers forward compared to 90.9% in 2022.

The top price among the shearling rams was £36,000 paid for a Texel from Andrew Clark, Teiglum, Lanark, which compares to £52,000 for a Texel from Allan and Karen Wight, Midlock, Crawford, last year. The overall shearling average cashed in at £1082.11 for 3170 (+£54 for 149 fewer sold).

Ram lambs peaked at £25,000 for a Suffolk from, Jimmy Douglas, Clola, Woodhead of Cairness, against £3800 for a Texel from William Knox and sons Graeme and Andrew, Mid Haddo, Fyvie, at the 2022 event. Overall, 274 ram lambs levelled at £758.28 (+£69.32 for 33 fewer).
