WHAT BEGAN as a notional idea to organise a charity tractor run in aid of SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) after the death of his niece, Bethany, came to a poignant clarity for service manager, Graeme Murray.
He said the charity was a lifeline for his sister Alison and her husband, Kenny Carruthers, followed Bethany's death and that he and his partner, Sheila Jackson, wanted to give the charity something back.
He used his contacts from being a service manager at John Deere dealers, Johnston Tractors, to help with tractor road run to raise funds. He said the support was overwhelming, with 143 tractors and, so far, £4630 has been raised from 'good spirited farmers.'
