A five-year-old Limousin cow and her Limousin cross calf topped David and Rosemary Cornthwaite's Balgray Hill sale at Lockerbie, selling for £3050.
The cow, which sold with her Limousin cross heifer calf, was purchased by SG Richardson, Low Garth, Cockermouth.
Heifers with calves sold to £2700 twice to G and W Halliday, Crawthat and D Wilson, Belzies, Lochmaben.
Overall, 103 cows and calves averaged £1980.09; with 17 heifers and calves cashing in at £2305.88
The three stock bulls sold to £4000 for the five-year-old British Blue, Greystone Limelight.
