Since 2017, Robert and Becca Rennie have contract farmed both Attonburn and Mowhaugh in partnership with Roxburghe Estates, based in the Cheviot hills. The two farms combined span over 2,500 acres of upland terrain and rise to a height of 18,47ft.
Alongside Attonburn and Mowhaugh, Robert and Becca are third generation tenant farmers at Sydenham Farm at Kelso and run 2,100 Cheviot, 250 Romney and 70 Texel ewes, plus 100 head of cattle across all three locations.
The Rennie’s overall aim is to produce and sell high quality breeding females to other farmers, as well as good wedder lambs that will go on to do any job – store or fat.
