A new centre record price of £11,000 was achieved at the North Country Cheviot sale at Caithness Livestock Centre, Quoybrae, when a shearling ram from the Campbell family's Bardnaclavan flock from Thurso was sold.
The ram, Bardnaclavan Cooper, shown by Jonny Campbell, was pre-sale champion and beat the previous record set earlier in the day of £9500 paid for Alan Smith's Upper Cornquoy Classic.
Next best at £5000 was the Campbell's Bardnaclavan Challenger, followed by Mr Smith's Upper Cornquoy Cosmopolitan, which sold for £3500.
