Cumbria-based Pedigree Livestock Services, has been appointed by the British Rouge Sheep Society to take on the complete administrative roles of the breed society.
With the current and long serving society secretary, Pat Imlah, deciding to retire from her position as breed secretary, the society says it makes sense to appoint the Carlisle-based company based at Holme House, Dale, Ainstable, to take over in the interests of a seamless transition for members.
Pedigree Livestock Services is run by Andy Ryder and already has several other breed societies, as well as Penrith Show, in its portfolio. The team at PLS is experienced in dealing with all aspects of running an efficient service for pedigree breeders.
Mr Ryder said: “Registrations will continue via Grassroots Systems and everything currently handled by Pat will be taken in hand at the PLS office."
The new point of contact within the PLS team is Kiri Bass, who can be contacted on: 01768 870523. The email and website details will remains the same.
"Breed Society members should find the change completely seamless and apart from revised contact details, it will be ‘business as normal.’ We really do look forward to working with the Rouge Society members," said Mr Ryder.
