The Scottish National Fat Stock Club’s annual LiveScot event, held at Lanark Agricultural Centre in November, raised over £1900 for agricultural charity RSABI, thanks to the generosity of its supporters.

Head of fundraising for RSABI Pauline Macmillan, met with Brian Harper, chairman of the Scottish National Fat Stock Club, to receive the welcome donation cheque.

The funds raised will help RSABI continue to provide vital emotional, practical, and financial support to people in the Scottish agricultural industry.

The Scottish National Fat Stock Club, founded to promote the production of Scottish primestock, works to support the agricultural industry and hosts various annual events.

The successful LiveScot event held at the end of 2023 saw an impressive turnout of top livestock and, importantly, served as a great event to get those from the agricultural community to come together.

Mr Harper said: “We would like to thank everyone for their continued support of LiveScot and for their generous donations. We’re proud to support a charity that is making such a valuable contribution to the farming community.”

Ms Macmillan extended her heartfelt thanks to the club: “We’re very grateful to the Scottish National Fat Stock Club for once again choosing to support RSABI with their fundraising efforts at LiveScot and to all those who turned out to support the event.

“We’d also like to thank the Scottish National Fat Stock Club for their continued support of RSABI as members of our Business Supporters’ Scheme.

“Our Supporters’ Schemes are a vital source of regular income for RSABI.”
