McArthur BDC and Sellars Agriculture look forward to welcoming farmers as they host grain handling demonstration days on March 5 and 6.

The demonstrations will allow farmers with a great opportunity to discuss cereal topics ranging from grain drying and storage, right through to processing.

Grain handling experts will also be on hand throughout the days to discuss tips and tricks on working efficiently to ensure full utilisation of existing equipment with advice both in preparation and following harvest.

The event will allow farmers the chance to see firsthand specialist equipment including a Mecmar mobile drier, Skandia handling equipment, and McArthur BDC mobile grain cleaner.

Mecmar’s extensive range of specifications enables McArthur BDC and Sellars Agriculture to deliver a mobile drier to meet farmers’ individual requirements.

Mecmar mobile driers deliver quick, dependable drying results whilst operating as a standalone drier or as part of a larger automated system. Their strong residual value considerably reduces the cost of ownership.

Also displayed at the events will be Skandia’s chain and flight conveyors plus belt and bucket elevators, as they move combinable crops and other granular material quickly and safely between processes or into storage. Automation ensures they reduce labour and hours operating telehandlers, maximising productivity.

McArthur BDC’s mobile grain cleaning system is designed to add value post-harvest to crops by cleaning grain to a high specification. The portable system is easy to use, can be moved, setup and operated by a single person. The system has the option of adding an on-board three phase generator.
