A SELECT entry of shepherds’ crooks and walking sticks forward for Mid Argyll Show, judged by Christine Cameron, Lochearnhead, saw Doune-based Arthur Dent, take the championship.

Novice champion was Sandy Patterson, Crieff.

Shepherd’s crook – Horn head – 1 and 2, Arthur Dent; 3, Nick Day. Hazel one piece – 1 and 2, Arthur Dent.

Walking stick – Horn or hazel – 1, Sandy Patterson; 2, Joan Dent; 3, Arthur Dent

Ornamental stick – 1 and 2, Arthur Dent; 3, Joan Dent

Shepherd’s crook – Horn handle novice – 1, Sandy Patterson; 2 and 3, Mike Thompson.
