The champion pen of Texel hoggs with Beltex lambs from the Hamilton family, Gilmeadowland, went on to realise £142 per head at Lawrie and Symington's annual show and sale.

Judge, Ewan Cochrane of Richardton Farm, Darvel, found his reserve champion in a pen of 10 Scotch Mule hoggs and Texel lambs from T Laird and Son, Carbello/Sunnyside, which later sold for £130.

Outwith the show, gimmers sold to £138 for Texel lambs from T Laird, Carbello/Sunnyside.
