Ormiston Clydesdale Foal Show at Champfleurie Stables, Bathgate, saw the judge, Peter Keron find his supreme in the junior colt champion, Collessie Gladiator from Ronnie Black.

This Collessie Highlander-sired colt out of Littleward Lady Athena has had a great show season, with his most recent triumphs including overall champion at the Perth Foal Show where he also stood third in the champion of champions class staged in conjunction with the Clydesdale Horse Society Winter Fair, the previous week.

Team Collessie was also reserve overall with their senior champion, Collessie Alanna, a three-year-old mare. Sired by the 2012 Cawdor Cup champion, Arradoul Balvenie, and out of Roughlands Jasmine, Alanna was also senior champion and reserve overall at the society’s Winter Fair after nursing a foal all summer.

The reserve foal was the Tennant family’s Singlie Norman. This colt is sired by the Cawdor Cup stallion Muirton Spirit, and out of Singlie Skylark. He was first in his class at the Winter Fair on his sole previous outing.

Willie Mitchell landed the reserve senior honours with his yearling filly, Anville Cindy Doll. A daughter of the Champion of the Decade, Doura Magic Touch, out of Anville Lulu, she landed the senior championship and reserve overall at the Perth Foal Show.
