Tarbolton-based Hugh Kennedy had his work cut out for him as the official judge of the West of Scotland Holstein Club Winter Herds competition, which had entries from 18 herds forward.
The coveted Robert McInnes Memorial Award for the best team of six home-bred cows was presented to last year's Gold Cup winners, the Logan family, Holehouse, Kilbirnie, with the equally prestigious William Scott Memorial Award for the best team of six milking cows or heifers won by the Montgomery family's Newlands herd.
