A huge crowd of neighbours, well wishers and buyers were forward for the retirement sale of Heather Marks and her late husband Jim of Gilly Flatts, Bishopton, which saw a complete clearance of 400 lots selling to 123 buyers.

The sale, conducted by Darlington Farmers Auction Mart was topped by a 2018 New Holland T7.270 Autocommand tractor with 2180 hours on the clock, which sold for £70,500.

This was followed by a Case 115u Farmall loader tractor at £31,100, a MB Trac 1000 reaching £19,500 and a 2002 registered New Holland TM150 selling for £19,000.
